Terms & Conditions

Texperts (“we”, “us”) sells expert refurbished laptops and desktops to consumers and businesses in South Africa. By placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not order.

Every product is pre-owned, professionally tested before sale, and its storage is replaced or securely erased. We grade condition as follows:

• A-Grade: in excellent condition, with minimal cosmetic wear and good battery health.
• B-Grade: cosmetic issues only, such as light wear and small scuffs. Fully working, with good battery health.

Every laptop is tested before sale:

• Battery health test.
• SSD read/write benchmark to confirm speed.
• Display pixel test to ensure there are no dead pixels.
• Keyboard and port functionality check.
• Operating system reinstalled (Windows 10/11).

Photos show the model, not the exact unit. Cosmetic condition of the unit you receive will match the grade you ordered.

Prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise. We accept PayFast, Instant EFT, Visa and Mastercard. Your order is confirmed once payment has cleared. If a price is shown incorrectly, we may correct it and offer you the choice of ordering at the right price or cancelling for a full refund. Payment terms on credit are coming soon.

We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation by email. Stock is limited, and some items are one-offs. If an item you ordered is no longer available we will tell you promptly and refund you in full or offer a suitable alternative.

Delivery fees, timing and collection are set out in our Delivery Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered or collected. Ownership passes when we have received full payment.

If you buy online you may cancel and return your order within 7 days of delivery, as provided by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging. We arrange the collection, and its cost is deducted from your refund. Full details are in our Warranty & Returns page.

Every product carries a 6-month hardware warranty. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 are not affected by anything in these terms.

For 5 or more units, or for upgrades and office setup, please contact our trade desk for a written quote. Bulk orders are available on B-Grade laptops: we send you a quote, you confirm it, and we then quote the bulk shipping. Upgrades made to your specification are not eligible for the cooling-off return, unless the product is faulty.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the price you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Please keep your own backups of any data you move onto a new device.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. If you have a complaint we cannot resolve, you may approach the National Consumer Commission or the courts of South Africa.
